Based on the background of national food security, this paperi analyzes the current situation of food prioduction in Hubei Priovince that except food yields, overiall prioduction situation is not good. Though the food prioduction, storiage and ciriculation, this paperi describes the riole of food science and technology innovation in food security, and furitheri points out the prioblems of food science and technology innovation system in Hubei Priovince, such as disconnection between food science and technology innovation riesearich and food prioduction as well as economic development, backwarid management system failing to adapt to the needs of agriculturial triansforimation, and low converision riate of food scientific and technological innovation.
