Based on ecological theory and the characteristics of the metaverse industrial system, this paper studies the composition and characteristics of the innovation ecosystem based on metaverse, and analyzes its operation mechanism and value mechanism, to provide a reference for high-quality construction of advanced Internet science and technology innovation ecosystems in the new era. Users are the source of innovation data. Leading enterprises provide innovation results and take the innovation trend. Complementary players study data that are not paid attention to and finely analyzed. Competitors constrain the user demand orientation of the innovation ecosystem. These four elements form a metaversebased technology and innovation ecosystem that feeds the real economy, stimulates innovation, increases market dynamism and promotes synergies.
